You asked for it - You got it… Contact uploads now update existing contacts

It is now possible to update contact details for existing contacts when batch uploading contacts to your account.

By default, the following fields will be updated with the values within the upload file:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Company
  • Telephone number

If any of these values are blank, then the corresponding value on the existing contact will not be modified.

If you don’t want to update the existing details, then un-tick the Update existing contact details tickbox before uploading your contacts:

This was the higest voted feature on our feedback forum, which is why we have prioritised the implementation of this functionality.

New Feature: Contact Export

It’s now possible to download a CSV spreadsheet containing the contact details for contacts within your account, together with the unsubscribe status and group membership for each contact.

This functionality is available from the Manage All Contacts screen.

Simply click the Download All Matching Contacts button displayed beneath the contacts grid, and a CSV Spreadsheet will be generated containing the details for all contacts within your account matching the filter criteria selected on the grid.

If you don’t want to download all your contacts, then use the Contact Groups dropdown and / or the Searching and Filtering functionality within the contacts grid to select a subset of your contacts for download (expand the Help bar at the top of the Manage All Contacts page for more detailed instructions) - all the records displayed on all pages of the contact grid will be downloaded.

New email templating system coming soon

We have been working hard on our new email templating system. We have completely redeveloped it from the ground up taking into consideration all the feedback we have received from users. It is simpler and more powerful and will enable you to build better looking email campaigns even more quickly.

We are presently in the testing phase and we will be launching the beta version within the next few weeks. We’ll let you know when it’s ready to go.
